A home for WCSFA!
WCSFA links with Leamington Football Club!
We are delighted to announce that Leamington FC is now the home of the Warwickshire County Schools Football Association.
Rob Heath (WCSFA Secretary) explains... Football in school remains an important stage in the development of the game and the players. Recent and significant changes in the education world have done little to support extra-curricular sport and it is credit to the staff who continue to offer a football environment that is well established and encourages positive competition. The majority of pupils and students still take great pride in representing their school whilst also competing for local clubs at weekends and Warwickshire County Schools Football Association are delighted to be able to establish a link between the two. Leamington Football Club lies at the heart of the county and is very community focused so this was our first choice when searching for a 'home' for the association. The link will allow our County Cup Finals to be played in the stadium setting making it a real occasion for the schools and winners will also be displayed in the clubhouse for years to come. Our representative County teams will also make it their home providing a familiar setting to be successful. We are truly excited about this development and hope it will prove to be a positive partnership for Leamington FC and WCSFA for years to come.
Yours in football,
Rob Heath (WCSFA Secretary)
